mjeff87
It's T - 48 hours until the wife and I are off on a wonderful vacation, and I can hardly wait. Heading first to Belize, where we're gonna zip-line across the jungle canopy and do some rappelling  , then up to Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico for a few days of fine mexican food, beer, and tequila. One more day in Grand Cayman (Cuban rum mojitos ), then back to Miami for another day in Little Havana. Lots of pics to follow! Jeff
speed_racer
don't DRINK THE WATER!!! And if you didn't know, you will soon learn that REAL "mexican" tequila does NOT have a worm! Enjoy yourself! And watch your @$$, man!
Mitch
Have fun, sounds like the same cruise I did. It was fun, but the one location all inclusives are more my style! Either way its better than rainy, snowy here!
mjeff87
I'm down on the te-kill-ya, Herradura is my favorite (anejo). We haven't been back to Cozumel since the docks got wiped out by that hurricane, so I'm curious to see how they look now. The national beer of Belize is Belikin, and I'm anxious to taste it. I fully support the national economy of whatever country/island nation I'm in by drinking my un-fair share of the local brew ;) Mitch, you been to Belize before? That's a new one for us, but we're not gonna get much time to explore the country. The zip line/rappel tour we booked is about 6 hours, and we're only tendered there for 8. (still plenty of time to swill brew, though :D ) Jeff

Its nice, we walked out and found our own tour, it was cool not the nicest of all the places we went too but its tropical so theres not too much to complain about. Your probably better off not exploring this one, the zipline/rappel will probably worth every penny. Grand Cayman was awesome - my favorite. And we didnt get to got o Cozumel because of the docks that were wipped out (I think we went a week or two after that nasty hurricane) Anyway, my bar bill on the boat cost more than my tickets lol, so I might have some things confused? :) Which is why an all inclusive in one location works best for me. I recommend the Iberostar Paraiso Beach in the Mayan Riveria: http://www.iberostar.com/EN/Riviera-May ... _3_72.html I booked it a local travel agency, two people for 6 days $1500 (Round trip air fair for both of us included!!!). You don't need to bring a dollar with if you plan to hang around the resort. Drink and eat yourself silly! And the resort is huge, we never wanted to leave it as it is amazing! mjeff87
Our friends from PA do the all-inclusive thing, and we've been considering it. Considering it because last year's bar bill was almost $300 (and only $10 of that was the wife). That's why I love island hopping, and Cozumel so much. 2 fer $2 Corona/Sol/Dos Equis. I buy 4 at a time and make her walk with two of them (she doesn't drink beer). Jeff
Mitch
I got drunk and spent money at one of the art auctions on board lol. I don't KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ART! but it was fun to throw the little card in the air. Honestly I was pretty tired of the boat, that was the biggest drag for me about the vacation. Tracker
If you do any research on low specific gravity beverages, or can't decide which one to bring home for further sampling, here's an unbelievable one: "Siete Leguas". It's dangerous though because it goes down like ice tea. Best use of a catus I've ever found. :D

I think I did this cruise too. Its hilarious that you came out with the "seeing is Belizing" jokes - thats what I was just about to type. My favorite was Grand Cayman too. We did a jeep tour there through some mangroves, it was a good time.
mjeff87
Just got back into town late yesterday. Trip was a blast....zipline was 265 ft. above the jungle floor, not 85 ft. :D Costa Maya was pretty cool, Cozumel rocked (as always) and had some great snorkeling, spent waaayyy too much $$$ in the Caymans (jewelry for her and beer for me), and I lost my wedding ring in the pool on the ship  A nice Canadian guy found it 3 hours later in the suction grate at the bottom of the other end of the pool Pics to follow later this week.
