Car RamRod
we are getting hit hard with rain here and my father parks one of his trucks in a yard by the water. So we went to check on it at high tide and sure enough the water was a few inches up the tire, only problem is that it's on an elevated part of the yard. So I went through the water to get him to the truck to move it elsewhere, and the water came about halfway up the bottom of my seat. and there was twigs and stuff stuck at the top of my grill. But anywho I made it out no problem, but no pictures, it was too sticky a situation to do so, but I got pictures of my fathers truck goin through the water on the disposable camera I keep in my glovebox. anywho, truck will be getting lifted and recieve a snorkel for sure now. what a rush. Eagle
I think I would have let him wade out. A hydrolocked engine is no fun, and if you haven't raised and waterproofed your air intake to the throttle body, you're risking sucking in water when you ford. Especially since the air box has holes in the front and bottom that let water in as easily as out.
Car RamRod
Ive got the carbed 2.8 sixer and the intake tube is off so the inlet is way just below the hood. I'm swappin in something new anyway, but yea, that woulda blown.
feerocknok
Hydrolocking sucks. Friend's '99 XJ had that happen. I avoid water and mud at all costs now.
