No Brake Lights Or Hazards

I have a 1992 with a 2.5. Just completed the upgraded MC and booster pump, but don't have any brake lights or hazards. I did before the swap. Checked the fuses and they all look good and I checked the brake switch which looked ok I guess. Any other places to look?

There's a small red cable going to the battery. I'll bet you a hundred bucks it's been unplugged.

That connector goes to the brake lights and hazards. Easy to miss.

I don't have the little red wire going to the terminal, just two large wires going to the fuse block and alternator

I'm having this same issue right now, tail lights work, but brakes and hazards don't. Can't find that connector, either. Two positive wires, one headed to the rear of the engine block/alt, one to the relay block.

I've had this issue, and it had to do with my fusebox melting due to the clutch master leaking. Try this:

 

Take out the fuse that goes to the brake lights, and bend the end of the spades to a very slight 'v' shape on both sides. 

Would look sorta like this from the end [v__v] .

 

If your fuse box has suffered any damage, the terminals can become loose and not make a connection. None of my fuses showed any damage, but the box was melting from behind. You can also use a jumper to test the circuit, going to a known good positive connection.

I'm confused. I did have to replace my clutch master because it was leaking, but the back of the panel doesn't look melted.

You just saved my @$$, checked the fuse on the block and it was pretty much melted. Recrimped the connectors on the fuse block and put a fresh fuse in, and it worked like a charm.

Figured it out, whoever worked on this comanche completely rigged the wiring on the tail lights. Now I need to rewire everything from the fuse box back.

THAT, is a fun project... No, I had to do alot of rewiring on my MJ because of PO electrical "mods". Hardest part is tracing the wires, which means ripping out the dash. Fun times...

Well its LONG shot but it worked for when I was having issues with mine and I didnt know what else to do..but I pull out EVERY fuse and replaced it with a NEW one, with the correct Amps that the FACTORY calls for. don't forget the ones in the bay as well..
