badazzelanore Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I have been searching for a good Jeep Comanche for quite a few months and any time a clean one came available they were either way to expensive or gone the next day. I talked to the wife and got permission to jump on the next one I found for a reasonable price and clean. Here is what I have. It has 31/1050R15's on some nice aluminum rims. The rims and tires brand new were $1200. I did not pay that much for the entire truck. The truck was sitting for 8-9 months. The guy I bought it from said he bought it for his 19 yo daughter hoping that her "redneck" friends would fix it up lol. The Hulk I pulled the two seats and the crappy plastic liner/insulation and it was soaked. I was really worried it was gonna be a disaster under there but it had a "restoration" not to long ago. This is what I found. I hope to have it running with in the next couple weeks. I put a new battery in it and changed the spark plugs. It will turn over but won't start. It needs the head gasket done, it looks like someone used RTV... I am planning on leaving it mostly stock for now and just getting up and on the road and then down the road I'll do the Cherokee 4.0/AW4/Front end swap. I am not planning on starting anything until the rust is taken care of and she is running.
