jeepfreak89 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 So I am a proud 89 MJ owner but a Jeep lover in general. I don't know if this is frowned upon here or not... but I am going to ask for assistance with my 96 Grand Cherokee. Problem: Transmission slips/surges/bucks, just does not seem to know where its at. So far I have changed the fluid AND filter, changed the Overdrive solenoid and Governor pressure sensor and I grabbed a USED tranny brain from salvage yard, in an attempt to see if the brain was bad. Well its still doing the same things. The only things I have yet to do ( short of replacing the tranny) is I didn't change the transducer WITH the gov. pressure sensor and I hadn't had the brain actually reprogrammed by dealer. Any help would be great guys!

jeepfreak89 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Yep, automatic. Couple friends keep pointing me toward other sensors.... TPS, MAP, but I replaced the TPS to no avail.
