Some of you are familiar with this. It is officially for sale! Too much to list. If you like Commanches, this is your rig!! Well over $11k invested. Fire sale . . $6750. (Just a little more than the show quality paint cost).

New bumpers, new paint (not a spot of rust on the entire body, was stripped to bare metal), minor floor pan repair, New window trim, carpet, sliding rear window, professional bedliner, new tires, Rubicon rims, new battery . . I don't even remember what else!

Some of the upgrades

 

New Tires and Wheels

Linex the Bed

Front Axle installed, Spring perch, stabilizer bar arms welded on

4wd AW4 purchaced and installed

NP 242 Transfer case with Hack and Tap Yoke installed

New Woody Rear drive shaft

Floor Pans replaced

Trip to the junk yard for NP242 shifter mechanism and indicator

Strip to Bare metal

Doug and I attempt to do body work

Take it to the body shop, Doug and I realize we suck at body work

Body Shop fixed our efforts and all the other dings we missed

Body shop coats entrie truck with spray poly and hand block sands

Bed removed and Door Jambs, uner hood and behind bed is prepped

Truck is painted

Front and rear bumper from JCR Offroad installed Front Fenders had to be cut

New Carpet installed

refurbished Headliner and sun visors installed

Interior put back together

New window wipes for both sides

New door jamb seals

New door handles and mirrors installed

New grille and side marker assemblys installed

Air conditioner fixed and converted to r134 (blows cold now)

That is a partial list. In the "build" thread he mentioned it needed a rear main seal. That was replaced as well. This is my good friend Joe's project. Joe is extremely detail oriented and meticulous. He had planned on keeping this truck forever and spared no expense to do it right. The truck is amazing and I cannot for the life of me come up with a solid use / reason for me to have it that would convince my wife. If I sold my Scrambler, she would be fine but I wheel the Scrambler on the trails and could not do that to this truck of course.
