cherokee_chief
ide hate to say this after u just painted the engine area but unless u plate that inner frame all of the clutch dropping and power from that 383 is going to rip the stock unibody apart, and i would also take the time to brace the frame where the steering box sits because ur going to be stressing the hell out of it countersteering , just my 2cents but overall i like the idea, this kid i bought my mj off of was going to do something like this, fortunately i got to it before he cut it up

rbmxj24
Thanks everyone for the support and that Cherokee is awesome I just read an article about it in a magazine, and the paint in the engine bay was just a base coat to protect it I had some old paint laying around, and I'm planning on reinforcing everything with a cage and some tubing, I'm building it to take abuse. Right now we are trying to figure out the best way to work the suspension

neohic
Not sure what I think about the 383, but I'm diggin' the whole idea of taking an MJ sideways! :rock on:
rbmxj24
Ideally I wanted a Ls motor but I stumbled on this fresh rebuild and it should be a solid 400 HP with what's in and for a lot cheaper
