can anyone tell me what a bar pin eliminator is/does?

I have them on my LJ. Basically it preloads the bushings on the shocks and prevents any walk the eye of the shock might develop over time. Some shocks use Bar Pins with c-clips, which are notorious of not fitting snuggly, BPEs are a good solution for this type of problem. Additionaly most BPEs raise(lower) the shock mount, effectively making your shocks a 1" or less longer. I use JKS BPEs front and rear with OME shocks for well over a year now.
