what is so special about the D-44? also what years and models did they come in? i will start scouring the yards in my neck of the woods for one. even if i don't use it myself i'm sure i can find someone that will.

is there a way to tell if my diff is a 410 or a 456 w/o jacking her up and counting rotations?

 

Couple - - There's a RPM/TIRE SIZE/RATIO Calculator or 2 here on CC - Search is a neat tool or just google it - tons of 'em - - - Assuming your dif does have 410/456s just reach under the truck & mark the side of the drive shaft - move MJ fwd r back one tire rev & look at ds again - 410 if U still see the mark - if 456 it'll be onna other side

i want to put the lund visor back on. do i need to remove the chrome trim along the top over the doors?
