Goose Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Ok, so when I fill my tank up, it shows it at about 3/4 tank. So obviously my sending unit is off. Is there a way to adjust it? Or do I need a new one. How hard are they to replace.

flint54 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 It depends on which sender you have. Mine (1992) is adjustable for float position at the rheostat. Suggest you pull the sender (it's easy) and evaluate. If there isn't an obvious adjuster, you still might be able to adjust the float angle so that the float position more accurately reflects the fuel quantity.

sinkrun Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Drop the rear drive shaft theres lots room just be warned. Be careful don't brake it or you may have no gauge as these are VERY hard to find.
