Recoil
Well I wasn't happy with the YJ so I found a guy to trade. He has the YJ and I now have a rust free 1988 Jeep Commanche with 119,000 miles. It's a 4cyl 4speed manual 2wd. The goal is to find a factory rear 44 or a ford 8.8 and a hp30 to convert it to 4wd. Of course an ax5 with np231 also. Eventually gather the parts to update the front clip and interior and then a repaint. Currently items on my $#!& list are: Steering ( way too sloppy ) Valve cover gasket ( leaking ) Brakes. ( needs pads, rotors, shoes, and new hardware ) Fan Shroud ( hitting the fan and sounds like $#!& when its at idle ) Here's a couple pics

Recoil
Thanks man. It's my first MJ. I've had TJ's an LJ and a YJ. So far I'm really liking this one. Forced to part with all but the YJ. That one just wasn't for me.

terrawombat
Nice looking truck. I traded a '91YJ for my '92MJ straight up. Great trade, in my opinion - the YJ just wasn't a practical vehicle for me at all.

My '88 SporTruck came with the same steering wheel. I think it was standard for base model Comanche's from 86-90.
