On my truck, it doesn't connect to anything, but still gets a decent amount of residue from electrical contact, I think. Is it supposed to connect to something? The later '87 up, only had 2, The '86 3 terminal can be and often is substituted for the later 2 terminal. The 3rd terminal just goes unused. Don't worry about it.
