trial and error. don't cut anything unless you're certain you have to., and if you do, mark it.

I don't wanna cut anything just want to change the wire harness and can't figure out how to diconect the plug at the firewall.I can't see any screws just a couple plastic clips is all.

there is a bolt on the outside that you have to undo to get ti apart.

Deep in there between the 2 contacts is a little PITA screw, think you need a 1/4" socket to get it out (6mm was too small an 7mm too big, not so shure about those bolt-dimensions because i HATE everything nonmetric) I used the bitholder of an electric screwdriver mounted to a small ratchet to get it out

definately a 1/4 bolt, I just used a small socket with and extension and a small Universal joint and small ratchet handle.

why are you replacing the harness?

putting in 4 litre HO engine and the harness that is in there is all a rat nest of wires,and the ho harness is in better shape.

ah. replacin the interior harness while you're at it? probably not a bad idea...
