Twisty Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 ive done the swap to 1995 XJ 297x shafts, but I'm wondering what you have done about the seal on the disco side. there are a few options ive read about...just wondering what others have done.
Oizarod115 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 have you tried looking up a nondisconnect inner seal? maybe that axle has a different seal on the housing side of the tube. don't know that it would fit right, but you could get the parts guy to bring you out one of each and compare outerdiameter and stuff.
pingpong Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 You can take a seal and install it in the outer portion of the VD housing. If I am not mistaken the part number is CR138961..... and I got it from napa. I will double check it, as this is the seal I used in Pong whendoing the conversion.... before I bent that axle :eek:
