New here from NJ, 87 longbed 4x4 metric ton of fun!

Recommended Posts

Hows it going everyone? I'm Pete,

Have had a few xjs in the past, but just picked up my first mj. Its a 87 metric ton longbed 4x4 4.0 auto. 254k. From what i can see it has seen alot of use as a pickup lol. I got it from my brother for $500, he wanted a new ipad so i guess it worked out well for both of us lol.

Has rusty floors, one is patched with a yield sign lol. Rockers and bed also has some bondo and what not. It runs and drives. Has a vaccum leak, no thermostat, needs a motor mount and rear brake line is pinched off so it needs some little odds and ends stuff but its all there. Even has good inspection. O yea needs tires too, but i have an explorer with brand new tires I'm junking so they'll work for now to get it road worthy. It even has a sunroof, I'm really excited to get it on the road and drive it, never had a pickup before.

Future plans would be 4.5 or 6" lift with either 33"s or 35"s, not sure if i want it that big yet. Its going to be a DD and weekend wheeler/trail truck/ camping truck. can't wait to get this build started, won't be a fast paced build because of budget but itll definately be fun. here's some pics of it as of now.
