Eagle Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Does anyone know the bolt size and thread pitch for the upper, rear shock mount bolts in a late model XJ? Fuzzy memory isn't reliable. The one I just bought looks bad enough that I expect I will have to drill out the bolts, and I'd like to have replacements on hand.
Eagle Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 P/n J4001933, SCREW, Hex Flange Head, .312x18x.875. WOW! 5/16x18 -- an SAE size. I would never have expected that -- I was expecting 10mm. Thanks.
HOrnbrod Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Yes, weird. There seems to be more SAE hardware on the newer XJs than the older XJ/MJ models.
