xjtrailrider
I'm willing to drive further but I need a good solid bed to replace the dented one on my rolled 89 MJ that I will eventually be repairing. E-mail me at jrhammes@yahoo.com as I'm not on here daily. TIA Jon

xjtrailrider
Folks, still needing a good short bed! Let me know what you have. I will buy a rolling chassis for the bed if i have to(if the price is right and it has a title!)

Exgrayxj
I am pretty sure I could find you one here, but it is a pretty long way to come get it ... bump.
xjtrailrider
I am pretty sure I could find you one here, but it is a pretty long way to come get it ... bump. Yep, thats what I'm running into. There are plenty of LWB MJ's around here but few SWB and finding a rust free/dent free bed is even harder. Bricker
There is an 87 short bed at the Pull a Part in Winston-Salem, NC. I believe is is rust free and in good shape. I'm going there tomorrow and will check it out.
Bricker
I took a closer look at it today. The bed is in good shape with very little rust, just surface grime from sitting under a tree. There is a small puncture hole about an 1/2 inch in diameter below the drivers side taillight. I took some pics of it and sent you an email. The truck is an 87 2wd, 4cyl., shortbed, alot of good parts on it remain. I went for the rear bumper today but it was already taken. The truck has been on the yard since July 24th so I suppose it will be here until the end of October.
foreman1063
Good short bed at the Durham LKQ right now. I think they go for $150.
xjtrailrider
Guys, first off a big "thanks to all of those that were looking out for me. Bricker went to great lengths to look at a bed for me in his home town and I appeciate it. This is what I love about Jeeps, its the community of folks that surround the hobby! I have found a rust free bed that I'm going to buy. It does have a slight dent in the rocker below the gas filler but other than that its golden. Going to pick it up in a week or so in NC. Once again THANK YOU ALL for looking out for me!
