ParadiseMJ Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I need either a good source for, or someone with a Torque Converter for an AW4 91-96 and flexplate for same. Don't know what they run used, or re-man'd.
89 shortbed Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 there is no way I would run a used converter there is almost always crap in them and you can't get it out without rebuilding. Trust me I work at a tranny shop go to auto zone and ask for a price on a rebuilt I have a few flexplates cover shipping and ones yours.
jimoshel Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Crap in torque converters gets caught up between the vanes, thereby reducing slippage which makes the converter more efficient thus getting better mileage. Or is that the other way around? :huh???: :rotfl2:
