Blue88Comanche
As the title says, how does one gravity bleed a clutch?
Eagle
To gravity bleed, you open the bleeder and leave the cap on the reservoir loose so air can get in. It's a PITA doing brakes that way. I'm 99.837 percent certain it won't work for the clutch.
kyleag89
When I just replaced the clutch in my 89 I cracked the bleeder and left the cap off the master. After about 2 min there was a slow drip from the slave line. Then I had a helper pump the clutch pedal 3 times and hold while I cracked the bleeder. Did this three times before I had to add more fluid in the master. Repeated this until no more air came out, about 10-15 times.
xjrev10
I had to have someone pump it up and I bled it off, added fluid at the same time. About 10 times. Mine was all brand new parts save for the master. New clutch line and slave.
