jpnjim
Are these things collectible yet? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Ma ... 3a70201945 I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, but I think it would be fun to own one.

Incommando
yes The were a old Fiat design ( IIRC) and many of the parts had been sitting in warehouse before the Commies bought them and assembled them. They made k=new, to put some of the parts were 15 years old on the "new" car. I was waiting for the 4-door version..the Wego.
jpnjim
Were the Yugo's really That bad? Rob When the bottom fell out, and they sold for a fraction of the already low price, people were buying 2 or 3 at a time just so they could keep one running. Parts would fall off of them as you drove them off the lot. Lol Socialism makes for crappy assembly line workers. ;-)
dasbulliwagen
The Trabant has a cool factor to it for some reason... maybe its the two stroke engine, maybe it because the body is made of some wierd plastic. I don't know. I think it would be cool to have one too. But I don't think that the Yugo will ever have that mystique. Might be funny to fully restore it and take it to car shows though just for fun.... to get peoples reactions.

Ha I like the sound of that last part. :) Tho as an AMC owner I can kind of understand how some people might treat a Yugo owner @ a car show.
