Shane
Haven't drove my comanche in a while, because I needed to replace the radiator. It was heating up. It hasn't had any oil underneath it. Yesterday I noticed some on the ground so I looked and saw some dripping from it. Unsure of where it is coming from yet. By the way the dipstick still read full. Any ideas? All help is appreciated

Automan2164
Valve cover, oil pan, rear main, timing cover... Until we get more details, could be anything. Rob

Shane
It isn't any dripping from from the top. It is some on the bottom of the pan and around the bolts. After double checking it appears that it may be coming from the pan cause there is not drips from from a spot to another. You guys think that's a good assumption? How hard is it to change the oil pan gasket?
Harley
I would guess you have the 4.0. Not sure if its the same but on my 2.5 I had to remove the exhaust and the starter. It was a 4 piece gasket. Was easy to do though.
FrankTheDog
When you buy the new pan gasket tell them it's for your 99 so you get the late model one piece rubber gasket. Much easier to install.
cruiser54
Are you 100% sure it's not leaking from the oil filter adapter down on to the side of the block? Not originating at the back of the valve cover?
