The_Devils_own
:help: I did something to my front end or steering on a ridiculous rock section up mount beacon . While driving i notice like a slight "loss" of power steering or binding in the front end . Yes I still have the dana 30 and expected to break parts with 35's . Budget is tight so i can't just start swappin parts . Maybe blew the power steering pump? Maybe bent the front end? Maybe broke the steering box? IDK GRRR

The_Devils_own
is it true that you should change the power steering pump and box at the same time?
ParadiseMJ
I would do the whole pump (w/reservoir) and lines, pressure and return + o-rings. I did the pumps on my XJ and MJ in lesss than a day...and I'm no pro. Hardest part was flushing the fluid and bleeding the air. Open up the reservoir while it's running and see what's going on. Is the fluid foamy or milky? The MJ had tranny fluid in the PS reservoir, it looked like a Strawberry milkshake...water, air and low level...but it still worked!!? The XJ had the blackest, black, blackness for fluid. It whined and moaned like a Jewish princess (NOI)...and did NOT work.
The_Devils_own
conclusion: Changed only the pump after it finally started to single itself out . So nice to have normal steering again
