STERLING STINGER Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I'm not sure what its called, but i remember i replaced some sort of slide bar in my column (in my 88), and i put it back together without adjusting it right, so the key does not come out. it don't go back all the way. i lived with it but i sold the truck now, and the kid that i sold it to is on here asking about it, getting no responses. i don't know what the thread is called....i don't even know what the parts called. I'm looking for the write up i used to do this thank you in advance Paul

I'm looking for the write up i used to do this thank you in advance Paul I just looked four pages back in the MJ tech section and can't find any thing that has 0-2 posts like what your talking about. And I don't have a clue about what part your talking about so unless you get a link to the thread or pics I don't think I'll beable to help. Sorry Brandon
kyleag89 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I think he needs to adjust his ignition switch.
STERLING STINGER Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 that might be what it is... is it adjustable and would it hold the key from giong back all the way?
kyleag89 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 yes its adjustable, the best way to get at it is to remove the lower dash bezel for better access. It will be on top of the column and the high beam switch will also be attached to the column with the ignition switch. Just do a google search its pretty common.
