Hi I'm Jon and I've alway's loved the Mj's and this is my third one. My problem is when I get them up and running, my buddy"s deal me out of them. This is the one I just got it's a 89 with a 4.0 and puke goat..LOL I'm gonna finish up the 5in lift and cut it big like I did on the black one in a pic below. Do a 97+ HO swap (no dash and interior) put in a 410 8.8 and D30 and 35/12.50's

This is a pic of both of my old MJ's on are last trail ride, I hated watching them all day so I went out and got another one. :D

This is my trail xj now

Here's a pic of my wife's 2 dr I built her to mud race and sand drag. I got a video of her smoking me last year in a side by side drag...LOL She's fast. This is a 88 that I did a 97+ swap on, I love the look of the late models so the MJ is getting it to...

[*]I'm kinda on the fence on this build, I wanna build a v-8 xj for the OH mud races. They run tire size only across the river so I was gonna swap the 2dr over to a roller vortec 350,350T and 241 this winter. I've been playing with the idea of building the mj as a OH racer and leaving the 2dr for WV. I like the wheelbase of the mj for staying straight in the pit but not sure how it will transfer weight. Is the Mj unibody/rear frame stronger? Anyone here ever race offroad race one? Here's a couple video's to show what we use the little 2dr for. The last video is facebook and I couldn't get it to work on here so I linked it. The booms are the fair fireworks going off....

I've decided to use a MJ to build my new project but not this one. I found a shell cheap and since I'm gutting it anyway, I'll save some time. I did get the cowl hood built to cover the SBC motor.

It wasn't hard but I'll be painting mine matt black. Now if your gonna paint it to match your xj then It'll take alittle longer to keep the metal from warping, and alot of blocking. I got the other MJ off the ground and on wheels yesterday, now I just gotta wait till they move 5 yrs of crap in front of it and I'll be ready to start the fun stuff. The pistons, rods and block are on there way to the machine shop.
