pug
Driving home friday truck started cutting out when letting of the gas. Like its not getting gas i push down on gas pedal takes off like nothing wrong. Thought it might be part of the distributor problem.Replaced plugs, cap, rotor, distributor and cps. 2.5, ax5,231. Any ideas thanks

Any ideas thanks I put a reply in you distributor thread explaining what I found on my truck and this was also one of the issues I had, It would only pull at WOT and miss at part throttle. The timing was off and at WOT throttle it would smooth out. My truck is 4.0 not 2.5 by the way. hope this helps.
tbrand
On my 4.0, replacing a bad O2 sensor fixed several drivability issues. If your timing is good, you might check that.
pug
Wouldnt it idel rough if the timing was off. Unpluged o2 and drove couple miles same result.

My truck would idle fine it was when under load and the disributor would try to advance the timeing it would miss. WOT it also ran well. pug
Is there any other way to check timing besides tdc.
jcComanche86lb
Should be able to use a timing light to check it. I would check for vacuum leaks also.
