maddzz1 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 It could also be the lower rad hose collapsing . Did you swap the spring from the old one when you put the new one in? Or the gauge might just be bad, mine reads around 155* all the time.

Or the gauge might just be bad, mine reads around 155* all the time. I'd give anything for it to be that instead of the head gasket. :ack: Lower hose still has the spring in it. That must be disconcerting, you don't have a 165 thermostat in it, do you?
