gconcilio Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Can anyone tell me what would cause my 88 2.5l to have no spark. I have replaced the cps and have power to the coil. Can other sensors cause no spark? The coil checks out ok.
Geonovast Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Ground strap going from the block to the firewall is common. The CmPS I believe can also kill the spark, but those seem to rarely go out. Have you check the cap and rotor?
gconcilio Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 What is the cmPS? I checked for spark right off of the coil, so did not check the rotor or cap. I will check the ground strap next.
