1989 comanche sport engine swap with 1988 cherokee?

do the mechanical parts for an 88 cherokee fit painlessly for a comanche sporttruck 4wd. I have a 2.5 but want a 4.0

can you help me.

there is a great deal on a neighbors cherokee and I want to get it if it will work.

my truck is great just want a 6.

It should be a reasonably pain free swap.Having the donor sitting along side will help. It will all be R&R, no welding, cutting required.

Keep in mind you can't just dump in the 6. You need to swap literally everything over from the donor, engine, tranny, all wiring, cooling stuff and accessories. You'll also need to modify your rear driveshaft.
