tonight i had my lil ole open face with 10lbs test and i hooked a big cat with it that snapped my line took the bobbor and all tomorrow night I'm bringin the big bait caster with 65lbs spider wire and goin to catch and when/if i catch it I'm goin to put the pic up on here of it

yeah its the first time I'm actually goin to use this pole in almost a year I'm working on gettin it set up and all ill put up pics of the difference in size of the one i used today and tomorrows

Are you on a river or lake? Anyway, we've switched to jug lines for cats. Using cut minnows, we never come back empty handed. In Texas you can have 50 hooks in the water, so that's 50 jugs. Fishing over shallow mud bottom spawning areas with the bait set about 18-24" deep. You can make your own using 1 liter plastic water bottles.

 

Its still fun to catch em on rod n' reel but it just takes too dang long.
