JohnQ
I searched but couldn't find the info I needed. My wipers work, but are really slow. Is my wiper motor going bad or is it my bushings?
comanche12
i would try check the bushing first since its easy to check it out without need pull the wiper parts out? also try apply 12v direct to motor to see if it work better then obv there issues on wires. :smart: i know there should be simple way to do before do whatever deeper. normal my assume I'm sure its bushing and maybe motor too.\ edit: also check the circut breaker"fuse") to see if its rust/corrsion first before do next steps. 87Warrior
I would bet it is the bushings. If the linkage is getting bound up at all the motor will strain. I changed the bushings on my folks 93 XJ and it made a world of difference in how the wipers function. Its been awhile since I have done them so I can't recall the part number or type of grease/lube I used on them.
