onetallmj Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 88 MJ with a 4.6 stroker stock 4.0 sensors/wiring. Its been sitting for a while, battery dead. Charged battery, fired up and rough idle til it warmed up, went to shut it off and no stop!!. Pulled key all the way out. Replaced the electric ignition switch and it still won't stop. Thinking its the "power latch relay" or B+ relay. Anything else to check after that relay? other than not stopping, it runs fine ( for an 88 trail truck :D )
offroader461 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 check the starter relay.....i had the same problem with my old cherokee... follow the positive cable and it should be right behind the battery
