swamprat Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 so in my garage i have an HO engine and trans out of a 92' XJ. which i want to put into my MJ in the near future, for this swap i just need the HO wiring loom and all the open cooling system goodies correct? i'm also swapping in a full cluster, i just assume that doing the cluster and engine while i have the jeep apart will make things easier. thanks! -Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although the Renix and HOs are similar, there are far too many pieces that would need to be hunted down to finish the project. With a complete donor, you have all the parts you need plus after taking a lot of pics along the way, a really good template to copy from. Let me back up, are you keeping the Renix engine controls? If so I apologize, Keeping the Renix stuff is doable, but not one I plan on undertaking. I'm swapping 100% to HO so keeping the Renix stuff is not what I'm knowledgeable about. Sorry.
