Re-assurance question on fuel tank question

I just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on a new tank....

 

I have an 88, which should have the shorter 18gal tank. I figure if I'm doing a new tank I might as well get the 23.5 gal. Its a longbed truck, so this should bolt up fine? And I should be able to re-use my original pump and all?

 

I read on a thread here that the front 2 straps are the same, but on the longer tank there is a third strap to the rear.

 

I'm probably going to order new straps as well and just do it once and be done!

here's the tank I was looking at. Unless you guys know a cheaper outlet besides ebay...I want a place I can call and verify the item is in stock so I don't get the back-order run around

You're OK on the tank, pump and straps. EBay is about as good as your going to get. However be sure and check the prices. I've as much as a $100 difference between vendors. Also check on shipping.

but ordered up a 23.5 gal tank, straps, filler the whole 9.

surprisingly my 20 year old filler was fine when i swapped my tank. Seriously looked and felt like brand new rubber.
