anyone? exhaust question

tell me if i got this correct.

 

on a stock 1988 4.0, the exhaust from the manifold is 2 1/2 in to the cat and from the cat is 2 1/4 in. or is the cat 2 1/4 in also.

I was thinkin it was 2.25 all the way, but my 89 has a bolt on flange, so its hard to tell.

mine is 2 1/2 all the way. from the flange ,the cat back is 2 1/2. but i can't trust anything that been done to the truck.

Thats cool! I guess I was thinking of my YJ, which is 2 1/4. My MJ is 2 1/2 but I cobbled it on there from a Dakota. Hey it was free!

i assumed mine was 21/2 in from the manifold. its 2 1/4 in from the manifold to the start of the cat. at the cat exit its 2 1/2 in to the tailpipe. the magnaflow i have ordered is 2 1/4 in inlet and 2 1/4 in outlet. i have a 2 1/4 in muffler so i'll buy a couple of bends and fab a side outlet. this should take care of it.
