Matt @ LL says that they are not "reusable". It's more of a warranty thing than anything though.

 

We've gotten 3 uses out of them; then they start to leak. They are a quality product though.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I've been using them in my D30 and D44 on my LJ for about 3 years and about 10 or so changes with no issues. It makes life very easy when it comes time to change diff fluid.

RTV must be more abundant in your area.

Permatex RTV around here is more like 5 bucks,

then factoring in the time to scrape and solvent

wipe both sides, not to mention what I inevitably

get on myself, if this gasket lasts a few rounds

it seems I'm ahead of the game.

Lube locker is more for someone that constantly changes their diff fluid. For most of us with the sense to just raise the breather tube and check for fluid in the oil before just haphazardly draining the fluid, RTV would make much more sense.

 

Further, RTV is a positive seal that bonds to both surfaces.
