Harley
What would cause dieseling after shutdown?? Its an 86, 2wd, 4spd, 2.5 throttle body injection. It doesn't do it all the time just every once in a while
shelbyluvv
Carbon deposits on the piston heads. If your idle is too high it can cause it too. I like to take an eye dropper and drip a little water into the throttle body while it is running. This will clean the deposits off the pistons. johnj92131
Gonna have to give the old beast a seafoam treatment! Please explain "seafoam treatment"? Cheap gas and too much ignition advance would also cause the problem. Plugs that are too hot can also cause the problem, me thinks anyway. Might want to look at water injection to get rid of carbon on the piston and head. The steam will clean out carbon deposits.
