starchild
i have an 88 comanche with a I6,4x4 and ba 10 5 speed. 237,000 plus miles.my trans has decided to leave this world but, still managed to have 2...3...and 4. found a trans. this ba 10 was out of a 89 wrangler. seeing differences in ba 10's. first... shifters. mine has a shorter shifter to trans assembly. the donor trans shift assembly longer. easy enough to swap black arm of shifter. the second is rear cover of trans. i have a 231 transfer case.after removing a stud the 231 mounts up but...it's angle to trans has changed.has others encountered this? did it just bolt up just at another angle? or will it not work without swaping rear of trans to keep transfer angle that was? mnkyboy
The t cases are clocked different but it should work fine. Some people have to massage the floor a little for extra clearance
