jimoshel Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 How do you remove the plastic handle from the shift lever, tranny and TC? The book says pull up firmly and it will come off. I say like heck. I have put a pry bar under it and beat on it with a hammer and I can't budge it. Any clues? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JeepcoMJ Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 aw4/floor shift? grab and pull. only works on the actually trans shift handle. apply even pressure with both hands...straddle the trans hump if needed, and you'd best put it all the way down in 1-2 before yanking so that you can pull it towards you. the transfercase handle doesn't come off until you get the carpet out...
