Having a valve job done on my '88 4 bngr and while it's apart I am going to replace the water pump and all the hoses.

Is it necessary to run the water/coolant through the manifold? Or can this be deleted? I know on a carb'd engine it may help in cold weather but being injected...and in Florida...?

Just trying to simplify some things.

If you do delete your heater hoses you must move your coolant temp sensor or it will send the wrong engine temp to your ecu and your truck will run extremely rich on fuel!! But other than that you would eliminate about four different places it could leak and thats always a good thing!

The coolant temp sensor is in the head...and the manifold 'cooling circuit' is separate from the head. So wouldn't that mean it would still work fine?
