Suuperman Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Having a valve job done on my '88 4 bngr and while it's apart I am going to replace the water pump and all the hoses. Is it necessary to run the water/coolant through the manifold? Or can this be deleted? I know on a carb'd engine it may help in cold weather but being injected...and in Florida...? Mike Stone Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 If you do delete your heater hoses you must move your coolant temp sensor or it will send the wrong engine temp to your ecu and your truck will run extremely rich on fuel!!
