JEEPER1 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 hey guys i need some help i am buying a 89 4X4 straight 6 ,5 speed manual , comanche on wed and my question is in that year did they use a AX5 or AX15 or both, i will post pics when i get it home i have big plans for this jeep eric
1974CJ5 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I believe the switch from ba10 to ax15 was made mid year 1989, so you could have either, if I am not mistaken. Unless I have missed something the inline six never had a AX4/5 transmission however the GM 2.8 V6 did but that was stopped in 86.
