Fuel pump is not getting power

I have a Comanche where the wiring for the head lights and tail lights is all cut up. My issue is the truck ran before the wires were cut and now it's not getting any power to the fuel pump. I guess I'm just asking if the the wires being cut would stop the fuel pump from getting power.

Yes, it would. The hot lead and the ground for the fuel pump is laced together with the tail light harness.

Why can't you just reconnect the wires where they need to go? Is the harness too far gone to be saved?

The previous owner cut the tailights out. :headpop: So all I am left with is wires. I'm also not looking to get this truck road legal.

Look up a wiring diagram on autozone.com or just run new power to the pump.

Look for a black wire coming from the fuel pump. Hook that to ground. There should be a Ground point in the left rear tail light area.Look for a dark green with tan tracer from the fuel pump. There should be a matching wire in the harness coming from the frame, front of the truck. Tie them together. That should do it. If not then just run a wire from any ign hot point to the fuel pump.
