Looks like the Rangers might end up with Beltre.

Since Texas beat the Yankees last year they've been my adoptive team  ,

if you end up with Beltre, it will be doubly so.

I heard this Joe Maddon quote a while back, and it sums it up for me:

“[beltre is] clearly the best [third baseman] I’ve ever seen in person,” said Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon. “I think [Evan Longoria] is good, I used to think Scott Brosius was really good. … [Eric] Chavez was good, but Beltre was stupid good. I think Beltre is the best who I’ve ever seen with my two eyes – defender, not just third baseman, but defense.”

Hopefully you get the 'amazing' Beltre, and not the so-so version,

just tell whoever is in left field to stay the hell away from him.

I took a stand against the evil Cable company last year & canceled it (I'm sure they really noticed  ).

The thing I feel I missed out on the most was watching Beltre play in a Red Sox uniform. :(

I'm really glad the Sox picked up A-Gon,

but having no place to put Beltre takes some of the joy out of it.

Looks like Beltre called Michael Young to thank him for giving up 3rd base.

http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/texas-ra ... -thank-him

Adrian Beltre didn't want to get into specifics about his conversation with Michael Young on Wednesday, but he said Young was the first Rangers teammate he talked to after the deal was completed.

When asked if the discussion included a "thank you" on Beltre's part, he smiled and nodded.

I guess that means it's a done deal (maybe).

Looks like the RS picked up Catcher Max Ramirez today too.

Kinda funny that gets done the same day as the RS 3rd baseman Beltre goes over,

since the RS had tried to trade 3rd basemen Mike Lowell for Max previously.

Jeeze my intarweb goes down for a week and I miss a thread like this?!? Bah!

I'm glad he's aboard and look forward to another great season beating up the Yankees.

Hah,

Beltre almost singlehandedly did that Sunday Night. :clapping:

Looks like he's coming alive already.

I bet you were :rotf: when he popped a Grand Slam off us (Boston) in the first series of the year.

(If someone had to do it, I was glad it was him  )
