cicelyak
Hey guys -- I tried to turn on my wipers this evening. They moved about three inches up and then stopped. They don't move at all now when I twist the stalk. How should I troubleshoot this? What are the likely culprits? Thanks! -Jason p.s. This happened just I was starting to feel like my truck was coming together. I'm disappointed. :(
ParadiseMJ
I am often thinking my electrics are together and then all of a sudden my radio craps out, and my backup lites don't work. Both my Jeeps do the weirdest things, both in bad weather and on a sunny day. Anyhoo, there are 4 basic reasons your wipers won't work. 1. Bad switch on the stalk. 2. Toasted wiper motor. 3. Circuit breaker is bad OR trips and resets (have the breaker testeed or teest it yourself for continuity. It's the metal "fuse" at the botttom of the fuse block under the dash, 4.5A. 4. Leprechauns, Gremilns, Witches and magic spells.
Pete M
do you have intermittent wipers? if so, then all of the above, plus the intermittent box under the drivers side dash. It's held up with velcro and has an input harness and an output harness that can be both unplugged from the box, then plugged directly into each other to check if the box is bad.
