so i have an 87 4.0l 6 cylinder with 190000 in it and i am changing it out for a 96 4.0l out of a cherokee

 

is there any big conversions or problems that i may face in doing so

Look up renix to HO conversion. You are also gonna need all the wiring from the donor, the ecu, and you are gonna have to splice into the rear harness for the taillights. The 96 also has the open cooling system. Do you have an entire 96 XJ as a donor?
