Ball Joint Replacement

How dificult is it to replace all 4 ball joints on a 4 wheel drive Manche assuming you have all the right tools?

 

What exactly needs to come off so I can remove the ball joints?

Wheels, calipers, rotors, hubs and axles (remove hub and axle shaft as a unit without removing the big axle nut), steering knuckle. Rent, borrow or buy a ball joint press tool. It can be done using just a BFH, but it is WAAAAY easier with the right tools.

did it on my 'manche.

 

3hrs, one big f*ckin hammer and a set of oxy-acetelyne torches later I had nice new ball joints on the manche.
