Posting and replies

I am curious why every time I respond to a post, the post moves back to the top of the page. How do I fix this? I think I read somewhere someone talking about "bumping" to move a topic up, I would like to avoid this.

You can't. If it doesn't pop back up to the top, nobody may see that you even replied.

 

It's supposed to do that. "bumping" is when you reply for the sole purpose of putting it back to the top, without actually contributing.
