defrost squeal

Any ideas? Heater works great but when switched to defrost I get a squeal that never goes away... When switched back to heat or vent it slowly disappears within 10 seconds. :dunno:

Do you have A/C? If you do, the Defrost mode turns on the compressor, so it's likely a loose belt, bad compressor clutch, etc. Turn it on A/C and see if it still still squeals.

Yeah its got A/C... So I went out to check like you said Don and the squeal stopped when i switched to A/C after like 10 seconds and never came back! Even when I switched back to defrost. The A/C blows warm air so i was gonna have the system checked anyway. Thanks!
