streetjeep2.5 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Think my 2.5 threw a valve seat. :fs1: I MAY need to buy a used engine if the warranty is not honored. Soooooo, since the search engine will not accept 2.5 as a legit word, anyone got a good running 2.5 that will work in my 87? I live about an hour west of St. Louis.
streetjeep2.5 Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 Looking in the cyl the piston looks beat up, there was some metal powder on the spark plug, so I'm a betting the cyl wall is scored also. :( Head, don't think, will be enough. It was a rebuilt engine, so it may be an insert that popped out. I will get it home from Mexico Missouri to Montgomery City MO on monday and tear into it. Thanks!
