64 Cheyenne
I left a link to car-part.com in earlier post for stock linkage. You could post a "Wanted" in the appropriate section. Or you could buy one of these http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kit_sk2x.htm

Or you could buy one of these http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kit_sk2x.htm Yeah I know I could post it in the "wanted", and Cheyenne, I tried car-part.com for Cherokee and Comanche and I had no luck. I'm going to my shop now and asking them if these custom ones you posted will work. Thanks
case5412
Here's the verdict: I'm ordering the first bracket system from Novak. (http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/shifters/sk2x.htm) If anyone has anything else to post make it quick, I'm ordering it today.
Pete M
I have a TJ ax-15 in my 88 and of course it didn't come with that particular part so I made my own from a straight piece of aluminum.

Pete M
"main part"?
case5412
"main part"? I pulled a linkage system out of a MJ with a different transmission, but he bracket that bolts it on doesn't seem to link up correctly. Anyway, enough of that; I just want this linkage system I ordered to work so I can take my MJ out wheeling for the first time. It's never been off road before. My transmission is the AX15 5-speed manual and I noticed it's an automatic in the picture which is worrying me a little, also my transfercase is a NP231 J? or something. Oh well, I've got smart friends with a shop and all the MJ addicts here on the forums.
Pete M
that flat bar in the pic is my bracket. all you really need is a sturdy point in space directly across from the pivot point on the body bracket.

Or it doesn't come with it?
Pete M
I didn't order anything. I used the linkage from my 86 and built my own bracket to use with the TJ trans/t-case. but if you've got the novak stuff on order, keep us posted. it looks sweet. :D
