Do you have to remove starter to remove oil pan and is there anything else i need to do gasket sealer etc. thanks

I don't think you absolutely have to, but it would certainly make it easier. I can understand why you wouldn't want to, those torx bolts are a pain.

 

You'll need a little bit of sealer if you get a rubber gasket - pretty sure they have those for the 2.5. I HIGHLY recommend not using a cork gasket.

 

Why are you removing the pan?

Time wise how long do you think it will take. It took 1.5 hrs to replace oil pan and rear maine seal on my 4.0. Leaking pretty bad on the sidesand front .thanks
